Road to Here
Terri first found her passion for healthcare in 1973 when she started out as a radiologic technology student. Since then, she has worked in a variety of healthcare jobs, while earning her Bachelors of Science and Masters in Health Administration from St. Joseph's College in Standish, Maine.

Terri has worked in several hospitals, from Maryland to Maine, that range from 15 beds to 500 plus beds. Beginning as a staff radiologic technologist, she later spent seven years as a clinical instructor and coordinator at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in the Boston-area. In 1988, Terri became the director of Diagnostic Services at Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, Maine.

In 2000, Terri joined Sebasticook Valley Health as the vice president of ancillary and support services. Her talent and leadership skills allowed her to continuously develop and advance professionally. She became vice president of operations in 2005, chief operating officer in 2011, and president in 2013. In 2017, Terri became the president of Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital based in Greenville.

Guiding Principle
“Change is a given, it is neither good nor bad; it is what we make of it.”

Proudest Accomplishments
Terri is very proud of the many relationships she’s developed over the years. She likes watching people she helped grow to become leaders in their field.  She has particularly fond memories of the students she helped teach when she was a clinical instructor at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Terri is also proud of her involvement in promoting women’s health initiatives. She provided the leadership for the design, construction, and service line development for a $1.9 million Outpatient and Women’s Health Center offering a full range of services such as mammography, bone densitometry, ultrasound, prosthetics, and cardiac stress testing.

Terri has more than three decades of progressive healthcare leadership experience.  In addition to serving as president of two hospitals, she also serves on a number of boards, including the Maine Hospital Association.

What She’s Trying to Do?
“Helping to develop healthcare professionals, leaders, and systems meet the healthcare challenges and opportunities of the future.”
