Your Involvement Matters: The New Advocacy Website
Advocacy is the process of supporting and promoting a cause. It is a simple concept, but vital to the mission and vision of EMHS and the people we serve. What happens in state and federal government has an enormous effect on local healthcare and effective advocacy means helping to change what is
into what should be
. Your involvement matters and we need your help! The first step is to become informed and with the help of the enhanced EMHS Advocacy website, it’s now easier than ever.
EMHS is proud to launch a new and improved EMHS advocacy website that provides access to timely, simplified information on advocacy priority issues at the state and federal level, including bills of interest. We also provide easy ways to get involved in the advocacy process. In as little as five minutes, send a letter to elected officials using our advocacy center database or join our Action Network to receive up-to-date information conveniently in your email inbox. This network allows us to share more information with you about how you can proactively support the health of Maine people.
Want to be in the know even sooner? Connect with the Twitter Advocacy Watchlist that provides real time Twitter feeds from Maine’s congressional delegation, Governor LePage, and the Maine House and Senate democrats and republicans.
