Expect a rockin’ good time at Husson College this Friday, April 01, 2011. The Husson/NESCom chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is hosting Music Saved Me - featuring six local bands, including; Legend Has It, Sam and Yuri, Mines of Paris, The Thriftways, Average At Best, and Fancy Devil. The show hosts, comedians Adam Hatch and Jeremy White are guaranteed to have you laughing.

On December 7, Catherine J. Bruno, FACHE, EMHS chief information officer (CIO), was awarded the Chief Information Officer of the Year Award from the New England Chapter of the Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society (HIMSS).

EMHS is pleased to congratulate Inland Hospital in Waterville and Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield for their inclusion in the annual listing of the nation’s top hospitals (rural hospital category) published by the Washington, DC, based Leapfrog Group. Inland and Sebasticook were selected from a field of 220 rural hospitals. The full results are posted on Leapfrog’s website (leapfroggroup.org).

Charlie J. Hatfield II, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Blue Hill Memorial Hospital (BHMH), and M. Michelle Hood, FACHE, president and CEO of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems (EMHS) have announced that Gregory E. Roraff, FACHE, of Marlette, Michigan has been selected as the new president and chief executive officer of BHMH. Roraff has served as CEO of Marlette Regional Hospital since July 2008.
